PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 21, 2011 – ACR proudly announces that it will be presenting a continuing education event at its Wheeling, IL headquarters, focusing on the mitigation of water damage. The event, offered on each of three days, August 2nd, 3rd and 4th (10am to 1pm each day), features the seminar "Water Damage: Mitigating the Loss" by instructor John Schaefer. Mr. Schaefer is ACR's Director of Operations, holder of the prestigious IICRC designation Master Water Restorer and a 15 year veteran of water losses as technician, project manager and Water Division Manager.
Also featured is a full scale mobile water loss education trailer, in which real world flooding scenarios are demonstrated first hand. The trailer is outfitted simulating a real loss, with furniture, carpeting, and electronics being inundated by vast quantities of water. The techniques and standards of mitigating water loss restoration are revealed to insurance industry professionals, property and facility managers and others in positions of responsibility in the event of catastrophic flooding.
ACR's Managing Director, Jim O'Callaghan states, "We're extremely pleased that this continuing education seminar provides CE credits for those who qualify. For the first time, we offer CE credits in 10 states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas and Florida, in addition to our home state of Illinois. It's very common for ACR to have many attendees who do not qualify for CE's, simply because of the professional improvement they gain by knowing how to deal with these situations wisely."
# # # ACR, a specialty restoration company, provides Total Claim Accountability in water and fire damage mitigation, mold remediation and trauma scene/biohazard recovery using top level protocol set forth by the restoration industry's highest standards.
