Maloney Joins Hassett & Donnelly in Hartford Office

Danielle M. MaloneyPRLog (Press Release) - Aug 08, 2011 - HARTFORD, Conn. – Hassett & Donnelly, PC, an insurance defense trial practice firm, announced today that Danielle M. Maloney of West Simsbury, Connecticut, has joined the firm as an attorney in its new Hartford office.

Ms. Maloney’s practice will focus on the defense of general liability claims, including premises liability claims and construction site injury claims.  She previously served as a senior litigation associate at Tucker, Heifetz & Saltzman, LLP in Boston and as a litigation associate at Smith & Duggan, LLP of Boston.

Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Maloney served as a law clerk to the Justices of the Superior Court of Massachusetts.  She also clerked for Roche, Heifetz, Murphy & Wholley of Boston and interned for Magistrate Judge Robert B. Collings, United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Ms. Maloney earned her law degree from the New England School of Law in Boston after earning her bachelor’s degree from Trinity College in Hartford.  While at New England School of Law, Ms. Maloney served as an executive editor of the New England Law Review.

Barrett Joins Hassett & Donnelly in Hartford Office

Barrett’s practice will focus on the defense of general liability claims, including motor vehicle claims and construction site injury claims.

Previously, Barrett served as a senior trial attorney at NGM Insurance Company’s Staff Counsel’s office in Auburn, Mass.  He also was a partner, specializing in insurance defense, at Murphy, Barrett and Manitsas, LLP of Longmeadow.  In addition, he was a senior trial attorney for Sentry Insurance of Westford, Mass., and a litigation associate at Pellegrino, O’Connell and Winniman, PC in Springfield, Mass.

Barrett served as an assistant clerk at the Judiciary Branch for the State of Connecticut and clerked for Dusel, Murphy & Fennell, PC of Springfield.  He earned his law degree from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University, Houston, and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Hartford.
