PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 27, 2011 – Andrew McCumber, Managing Shareholder of McCumber Daniels, presented “Long-Term Care Legislative Update 2011” to attendees of the Florida Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (FAHSA) 48th Annual Convention.  This presentation provided an overview of successful and attempted legislation in the 2011 Session of the Florida Legislature that will affect Florida’s long-term care community.  Attendees received an overview of the current political environment and its impacts on the 2011 Session, insights on ways to reform their facility’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and suggestions on strategies to protect their  facility’s resources from emerging areas of potential liability.
