Kenexa conducts Allianz Group’s employee engagement survey

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 10, 2011 - Kenexa (NASDAQ:KNXA), a global provider of business solutions for human resources, is conducting an annual employee survey to allow Allianz Group, one of the world’s leading financial services providers, to obtain comprehensive feedback from employees through a globally consistent process.

In 2010, Kenexa’s standardised survey - which provides a single global measurement for engagement and leadership culture - was offered in 23 languages to more than 106,000 employees in 69 subsidiaries, across more than 70 countries. The survey covers leadership behaviour, engagement, strategic orientation, communication and collaboration, diversity, customer focus and innovation.

Blanca González Miranda, Project Manager of the global engagement survey, said: “The standardised survey allows us to compare the results from individual Allianz companies on an equal footing.”

Kenexa manages all the administrative aspects of running the survey. It also analyses the responses, presents the key findings and provides multilanguage reports. Allianz’s subsidiaries use the survey results to create and implement their own action plans.

Christian Finckh, Chief Human Resources Officer of Allianz Group, said: “We believe that employee engagement has a strong influence on the performance of a company and its customer orientation. With the engagement survey we aim to further strengthen our global leadership values and develop a corporate culture that fosters excellence for all our stakeholders.”

Ritu Mohanka, Managing Director of Kenexa’s survey business in EMEA, added: “Through this survey, we’re helping Allianz Group to better understand what motivates and engages its employees and how they feel about working for Allianz. The results provide a foundation for achieving high performance. Using globally-accepted, consistent measures of leadership culture and engagement, we can benchmark their scores internally and externally against high performing financial services companies.”

Long-Term Care Insurance Trade Group Campaign Encourages Employee Education

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 09, 2011 - A national awareness campaign launched by the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance will target individuals eligible for long-term care insurance benefits available through their employer or trade associations.

"More employers are offering long-term care insurance as a benefit to employees, family members and even retirees," explains Jesse Slome, executive director of the national producer trade group.  "Conventional wisdom says that group insurance policies cost less than a policy you could purchase on your own but that is not always true for long-term care insurance."

According the the Association recommendations, with employer-offered long-term care insurance there are important factors consumers need to evaluate.  "By doing careful comparison shopping, you might find you are able to get equal or even better coverage for less money," Slome acknowledges.  "A 55-year old couple could pay 25 percent less according to some current analysis."

Over eight million Americans have long-term care insurance purchased either on an individual basis or through a group plan according to AALTCI's 2011 Long-Term Care Insurance Sourcebook.  "Employers offering the coverage, typically on a voluntary basis, have been doing great work at expanding awareness for the importance of planning," Slome adds.  "They are making coverage available to millions and offer coverage to many who might never health qualify for traditional individual long-term care insurance policy."

As part of the awareness campaign, the Association launched a new online guide for consumers at http://www.aaltci.org/compare.  "We want to encourage anyone who is 50 or older to give serious consideration to planning for the risk of needing long-term care," Slome concludes.  "If you plan to live a long life, into your 80s, 90s or even longer, you had better have a plan in place."
